LARA R. CHWAT, JD, LLM

Ms. Chwat joined KBK in 2000.  Prior to joining the Firm, she served as a Legal Assistant with the law firm Eisen & Schulman, LLP (New York, NY), where she reviewed wills and trust documents, prepared estate tax returns and was involved in research and reports pertaining to various tax and real estate issues.  Her experience also includes positions as a Summer Associate serving in the Tax Department of Metropolitan Life Insurance (New York, NY), a Judicial Intern for The Honorable Robert C. Kohm, New York Supreme Court (Kew Gardens, NY), involved in researching and updating materials on issues of criminal procedure for judicial seminars, and as a Junior Auditor for North Side Savings Bank (Floral Park, NY), where she verified and examined transactions and balances in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards.

Ms. Chwat is admitted to practice law in New York and New Jersey.
